Suzhou Jinji lake International Half Marathon is an annual international marathon event held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The event is hosted by Chinese Athletic Association (CAA) and Sports Bureau of Jiangsu Province, organized by Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee, Suzhou Municipal Sports Bureau and Suzhou WE Sports and Culture Development Co., Ltd. Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon is a high-level marathon event recorded by CAA.

  The initial Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon was hosted in 2010 and 2017 the 8th Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon will be presented with 8 years of development and progress very soon. The race route circles the Jinji Lake, and both the starting point and finishing point are located at Moon Harbor. It excellently presents the most unique Wu Culture. A traditional Chinese proverb says, “Up Above There Is Heaven, Down Below There Are Suzhou And Hangzhou”. Suzhou is also known as the “Oriental Water City“, within the city of Suzhou, there are areas featuring the canals. Both PingJiang Road and ShangTang Street are on the list of Chinese Ten National Historic and Culture Streets, and all the canals are joined with featured bridges, flowing water, and unique architecture. There are canals lining the streets and traditional gardens all around the city, therefore, besides the marathon event, Suzhou is also a great place to visit.

  To enhance the participation of Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon which has been leading the trend in China since the year of 2014, Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon only accepts online registration. The applicants are required to complete the registration online on the official website of Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon (www.suzhou-marathon.com).

  2017 the 8th Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon will be held on March 12th, 2017, with the maximum number of participants set at 30,000. For Half Marathon event, the set quota is 12,000. For 14 KM Short Marathon event, the set quota is 5,000. For Mini Marathon, the set quota is 10,000. For Family Marathon, the set quota is 3,000.
